State of the Union Address
America's 'Golden Age' has begun: Trump
US President Donald Trump repeated the message he often delivers during his nationwide tour as he began his speech. "Our nation has risen again; bigger, better, richer and stronger than ever before," he said.
Drawing on a familiar campaign slogan, Trump also said that America's "golden age" had begun.
Referring to the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States, which will be celebrated later this year, President Trump described his presidency as one of "evolutionary change."
Donald Trump made this statement during his State of the Union address, which began on Wednesday from the House of Representatives chamber of the Capitol building in Washington, DC.
This is Trump's first State of the Union address of his second term. As is customary, he is delivering the address to a joint session of the Senate, the upper house of the US Congress, and the House of Representatives, the lower house.

In this nearly hour-long speech, Trump shed light on various issues, including the US economy, immigration policy, and the increase in US military power against Iran.
When Trump began his speech, his supporters chanted "USA."
