Iran announces the start of attacks on 27 US bases in the Middle East

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it was launching a sixth round of counterattacks in response to US and Israeli bombings across Iran. Al-Jazeera reported this news, citing Iranian state media.

The Revolutionary Guard said in a statement that the IRGC had launched "massive missile and drone" attacks on Israeli and US military bases in the region.

The IRGC claimed that the strike targeted 27 US bases, as well as Israel's Tel Aviv air base, the Israeli army's command headquarters in Hakeriya, and a large defense industrial complex. The statement added that the Iranian forces would implement a different and "harsh" response in a series of "remorseful blows".

Strait of Hormuz closed to all ships: Tasnim News

After the US and Israel attacked Iran, no ships are being allowed to pass through the Strait of Hormuz. This information was reported by Iran's semi-official Tasnim News Agency on Saturday night.

According to the report, ships in the relevant area are repeatedly receiving a message from Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). The message says that no ships will be able to pass through this strategic channel.

Tehran is responding to the US and Israeli attacks on Iran. The Iranian armed forces have continued to retaliate against various US and Israeli targets. In such a context, the Strait of Hormuz has been closed to all ships.

The Strait of Hormuz is the world's most important energy supply route. Analysts have already warned that the move to close the channel could have a serious impact on oil prices.
